Hook Up Designs Summer Giveaway: Terms & Conditions

By entering this giveaway, you agree to these terms.

1. Promoter
The promoter is Hook Up Designs Ltd, Wānaka, New Zealand (“Hook Up”, “we”, “us”).

2. Promotion period
The giveaway opens on 11 October 2026 and closes at 11:59pm NZDT (9:59pm AEDT) on 26 October 2026. Entries received after this time won’t be included.

3. Who can enter
Entry is open to residents of New Zealand and Australia aged 18 or over. Employees of Hook Up Designs Ltd, and their immediate families, can’t enter.

4. How to enter
To enter:

• Follow @hookupdesignsnz on Instagram, and
• Share a photo of your garden hose setup by either:
  • posting it publicly on Instagram and tagging @hookupdesignsnz, or
  • sending it to us by Instagram direct message.

Photos must be your own and show your own setup. Posts from private accounts may not be visible to us, so please DM your photo if your account is private.

Entry is free and no purchase is necessary.

5. The two draws
There are two separate prize draws:

• First Hook Up draw: For people who don’t yet own a Hook Up. Your photo should show your current hose setup.
• Second Hook Up draw: For people who already own a Hook Up. Your photo must show your Hook Up installed.

If your photo doesn’t show a Hook Up, your entry goes into the First Hook Up draw. We may ask the Second Hook Up winner for an order number to confirm ownership. If either draw has no valid entries, that prize will be added to the other draw.

6. Number of entries
Each person may enter only once and can win only once.

7. Prizes
There is one winner in each draw. Each winner gets to choose one Hook Up from our range of any model that is in stock at the time, up to the value of $269.99 NZD, with shipping to an NZ or AU address included. The total prize pool is valued at up to $539.98 NZD. 

Prizes will be shipped within 14 days of receiving the winner’s details. Installation is the winner’s responsibility.

Prizes can’t be transferred or exchanged for cash. If a chosen model is unavailable, the winner may choose another Hook Up up to the same value.

8. Winner selection
Winners will be drawn at random from all valid entries on 27 October 2026.

9. Notifying winners
Winners will be announced on @hookupdesignsnz and contacted by direct message from our official account only. Winners must reply within 72 hours with their choice of Hook Up and their delivery details, or we’ll draw a new winner.

Beware of scams: We’ll never ask you to pay, click a link, or provide card or bank details to claim a prize.

10. Use of your photo
By entering, you agree that Hook Up may reshare your photo and Instagram handle on our social media, website, and marketing, with credit to you. Winners also agree to have their name or handle announced publicly.

11. Your information
We’ll use your details only to run this giveaway and deliver prizes. We won’t sell or share your information. It will be handled in line with the NZ Privacy Act 2020 and the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

12. Our right to disqualify
We may disqualify any entry that is fake, offensive, uses someone else’s photo, or tries to tamper with the giveaway. We may also change or cancel the giveaway if circumstances beyond our control require it.

13. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Hook Up isn’t responsible for lost, delayed, or misdirected entries or prizes. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ) or the Australian Consumer Law.

14. Platform disclaimer
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, or Meta. By entering, you release Meta from any liability relating to this promotion.
